Any opinions on this meggy for sale...?
27. Jul 2006 at 17:36

Hello there peeps...

Not for me, but a mate of mine.  Needs something that's a nice cruise, comfy etc etc, under 5 years old for work, but wants lpg (or even a diesel) for economy.

http://www.mbcarsselect.co.uk/GetDealer.do?did=15078&pageid=1

It's a facelift MV6 3.2 with recaro cow and a duel fuel conversion.  1 owner and 84k.  A whole 6k so has to be a minter i'd have thought.  Anyone got any opinions or advice (other than 80,000 mile cambelt, cambelt and cambelt)??

Cheers

Liam

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Very nice looking car, price seems reasonable for the options on it, if he's stipulated diesel / lpg then he needs to go in with eyes open on the Omega, but what car that age with that style and gizmos, comfortable rid, and great fun down the back lanes (and at the traffic lights!) can you get for £6k?

Price wise seems ok.....tho carnt see from the pics condition wise really.

If you go for it....as its a garage selling.....presumably they will give it some sort of service.....if cambelt hasnt been done at 80k.....get them to change it and associated bits as part of the deal.....that'll save you a few hundred quid.....if not doing it yourself.

Cheers

Good price but make sure you get a certificate of conformity for the LPG conversion or your mate could find it difficult to insure.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Well he's bought it now and it looks very nice.  Just needs a bit of a tidy.  He'll probably be along to say hello soon and ask about 3.2 cambelt changing and broken glove box handles.

Cheers
