Help required, but not for me...
29. Jul 2006 at 14:46

I know this post don't belong on this forum, but a member on here (v6man54deg(Geffd)) needs help with some vectra ecu codes and as he is on holiday he ain't got access to a computer. The problem is his vectra while on holiday has been flashing out some codes 0550 & 0145 & maybe 0450, do these mean anything to anyone as the only codes I have found are the old 2 digit motronic codes, where as we are after the newer 4 digit motronic codes.

I don't suppose you have any more info on the car.

Is it a V6 2.5 Vectra?
Year?
ECU type?

For a Vectra B I can only find Motronic 2.8.3 and I can't find the codes mentioned.

If they're OBD2 P-codes then:

0550   Power Steering Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
0145   O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 3)
0450   Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Malfunction

well its a vectra B (1997) P Reg 2.5 V6 but i think but hes put a newer engine in it, the codes returned are 4 digit codes and he did suspect something with the power streering so they sound about right.
