personally i love the rear blind, keeps the sun out of the car and stops prying eyes from looking in the back!!

There is a rear blind how to on the forum here, it will show you how to put is all back together and where the multiplug is, it's not a difficult job to do all in all.

Johnny, not sure about weight being the issue, it's an odd size and that might be a bigger issue.

I have just fitted one into my 97P CD and the loom was already there, they weigh a little bit best way to guage some idea of the weight would be remove your one and add a couple of bags of sugar this should give a rough weight.

There have been some on ebay, with postage prices ranging from about £10. this would be grand if I could get the blind for a reasonable price. I'll have a quick hunt locally, though I dont hold out much hope, and may have to go down the fleabay route.

What year is the switch from? I need a mini-facelift switch (1998-2000 models) as mine currently has the early model switch which works fine but looks out of place in my dash as it has a slightly different texture and shape - the difference with the size of the recessed part and colour of the LED when off is particularly noticable. See the pic below (I think the TC switch is also the wrong type as it also looks different):

It is quite heavy when removed. The control box and motor are mounted together.

It shouldn't cost that much though, i think length is more an issue than weight to most couriers now.

Hi Paul, The switch is the older type as I swapped the top to the newer mini-facelift to match my existing switches. (dont know if that makes sense or not) Smiley
