Nope its the first time they've decided to change the ECU

Its was kinda sweet when they phoned to tell me it needed a new ECU.

Went like this....

'Hello this is **** from ****, unfortunately is bad news sir.'

Whats wrong?

'We have read the error codes, and they dont make sense, so unfortunately it needs a new ECU at a cost of £660 + vat'

OK fine.....its under network Q warranty

'Oh we didnt realise that.....ok fine we'll ring Network Q then'

And it prolly wont fix mine either until they do change the cam sensor Undecided

But at least they're changing summat.....and not reset the codes and say NFF like other vx dealer Wink

I assume so....as the only phonecall I got a short while later was to say they couldnt do the job until the morning Sad

Something to do with they have had 15 recoveries bought in during the past week Shocked

and they are behind.
I read it as.......its an warranty claim now.....so you go to the back of the queue Undecided

Coz they havent got it.....its sitting about 10 feet away from me in the service book wallet. Cheers

Aug 2006 at 16:32 The ECU and ATWS are tied together, but if ecu being changed, the ECU can learn the immbiliser with a Tech1/2. If immobilser being changed, I believe that comes with no pin set, and this is set when installed...
