Aug 2006 at 17:57 no denying that that represents good value i can't get that association of dowdyness out of my head, hence the reason i wouldn't look at any 90's/00's rover that and the terrible reliability (i used to work in the workshop for a Rover dealer)

Never been a Rover fan.....

I have often been in conversations with people where they have said 'its a shame we no longer have a car industry since Rovers demise'. The bottom line is you look at the quality and performance of the main stream output they were producing and you soon realise why we don't have a car industry any more!

You can sell rubbish for so long but, eventually the public realise and stop buying it.
