just found this place after spending a while on vxon, anyway, does anyone in the staffs, derby, burton, tamworth area, have a v6 timing gauge they could lend/hire out to me as ive now come so far with the car that its running but has the slightlest misfire, i have a feeling the timing maybe slightly out as i only set it up with the marks on the cam cover and the expense of buying one puts me off a bit, mucho thankas, john.

A misfire is more likely to be ht leads or coil pack. Cam timing on the backplate wouldnt cause a misfire, only slight loss of performance or economy and perhaps a little loss of smoothness.
I would still get hold of the timing gauge though and set it up properly.
