The point I was trying to make is the ECU talks to the body control unit that in turn talks to the intrument control unit on single channels, i.e. there is no single feed for engine speed, coolant temperature that I can give to the bogo dash in the omega.

Dont suppose you know if the engine speed output on the simtec is 1 pulse per revolution? if so I can substitute that with the firing signal for a single cylinder .
