If your going Frontera you need the 96/97 onwards unit which is basically the old Isuzu trooper and has the proper ladder chassi....plus a good 2.8 diesel power plant......they still murder Discos off road.

They all have the same ladder chassis, the earlier ones had rear leaf springs which IMHO is better than the coil springs if your going to be carrying a load or doing some decent off-roading.. I've had loads of Frontys, one sport though which was a complete bag of shite but the LWB versions are great, 2.8 TDi is the way to go though.

Fit longer rear shackles, wind up the front torsion bars and fit some better shocks, they are great off road, loads of clearence Smiley
