Aug 2006 at 10:05 That engine didn't get many coolant changes .... Heads will probabaly want a skim and re-build before any re-use. I love stripping engines down, much easier when removed to.

So did I. They replaced them with stainless steel units bla-bla-bla, but the oil cooler failed on my 2001 2.6 engine at around 30,000 miles / 3 years! luckily the car was (just) still under warranty. So sadly they do fail, even on older models and younger engines!

Alas, no more Omegas....

Now I realised that what you actually did is cut the car away in bits until all was left was the engine and gearbox…
