Not really the question to ask on here
22. Aug 2006 at 08:43

As the omegas are not produced anymore, ie I am on a 2002 estate version, what would you say is the one to match it in comfort and style, the reason being all good things come to an end will only have a couple of more years with this car before trading it in. Have tried the merc's at the time when looking for the omega much prefere the omega so they are a no no for me. Am interested in other peoples views. If the omega was still made today it would be another. This question came up as my wife and I were driving home from our sons house from the weekend, she never liked the journey in our mondeo untill we bought the omega she now finds the 4 to 5 hours drive no problem.

Well I suspect in the next few years mine will be replaced by a Saab, maybe the new 95 in 4x4 form or even the newer 93 which I actualy like (Despite it being wrong wheel drive)

Signum is just a big Vectra - bad seller by all accounts

Its basicaly a front wheel drive Vectra estate which looks better than a Vectra estate.

Good equipment levels and depreciate quite quick so cheap to buy......but, its a Vectra estate (although the latest Vectra is very good all be it a bit bland and nothing like as naff as the last one!)

I agree....altho Vectra is front wheel drive as well....and its only a tad bigger than a Vectra.

Be interesting to see how the CAN bus holds up on the Vectra C's and the Signums, or will it be a money spinner for the vx dealers??

Hi thanks for your replies, must admit it was the BMW 5 series that has gone thru mind also, as Martin had it on his list. Will be interesting what our choice of cars are going to be over the next few years.Would be nice if they bought back the Omega.

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine
