Have you tried the paperclip test to confirm it is still the Lambda sensor playing up.

Maybe able to check for you later if its any help to you. Smiley

Have a spare off the car at the moment I maybe able to tell from that.

If the sensor is the correct type I'd say:

white x 2 can connect to red and white, either way round.
Grey to yellow.
Black to black.

However I've got a feeling you may need the other type of sensor.

Some Vx use a 4-wire Titania Oxygen Sensor some use a 4-wire Zirconia Oxygen Sensor

Have a look round here: http://www.gendan.co.uk/category_111.html

Oh, and when I replaced my sensor the EM light was off but the fault code remained stored for a long time, even after disconnecting the battery for an hour.

I think it usually takes about 30 good starts before the code is cleared.

Hi

For info concerning the Lamba (oxygen) sensor, check out Marks DTM excellent guide here:

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1155557056

I would strongly recommend replacing your sensor (assuming that it needs replacement) with an OE unit NOT aftermarket.

Are you sure that the connections are good and that you have a good electrical ground?

Just had a quick look and looks OK to me.  I am guessing that you have the 2.0 16V engine (the X20XEV).  This, I know, has a heater element.  I don't think that the ones on the V6 (there are two on this engine!) do.

I have read elsewhere that Vauxhall Spares Centre are good so you should be in luck.

Have no idea what the main dealer price is, but £64 looks good to me.

As to resetting the ECU - what you have been told about the battery disconnection is TBH rubbish.  You will need to reset the fault codes not the ecu!  This can be done with a code reader called Tech 2.  Some members on here have this and would possible do it for you.

Gunsons also do a code reader, available in Halfords, but I am not sure about it's ability to reset faul codes.
