I think he was retried after the public outrage.

Don't get me wrong though, these guys have to practice, but we as the general public also have to practice. I think if the conditions allowed him to do 159 then all well and good as long as he wasn't endangering the life(s) of anyone else, but I also think that the same consideration should be taken when booking a civvy.

I mean, being booked for 83 on a non congested motorway in perfect conditions is taking the p*ss a bit I think! (Guess who's talking through gritted teeth from personal experience?!?!?!)

I agree but it was also reported that he was doing 91 in a 30 zone Shocked Shocked Shocked

This part of Telford is old with pretty narrow roads, I think 90+ is a tad fast and the car was unmarked

I was fined for £60 for doing 34mph in a 30 zone in North Wales.

y`kno i am sure this isnt th first recent case of a cop doing supersonic speeds in a 3.2 vectra - i am sure tere was one a few onths ago - just very slightly slower.....

Nutter - must have seen someone up ahead with fog lights on or too darkly tinted windows.... Grin

If I remeber correctly I think it was indeed the new Vectra VXR 3.2 V6. Top speed supposedly 161mph!! Shocked
