Hi guys, just joined the forum.

I have an ex police '03 MV6 estate 3.2, which I just bought after having been the brief owner of a '98 ex police Elite. I found this site by recommendations after advertising the old one on ebay for spares or repair (it's been repaired and now serving duty as a racing tow car). Pity I didn't know then what I know now about them, or I wouldn't have sold it. It had an oil cooler leak, but my mechanic thought it was the head gasket, and woudn't touch it.

I've got a lot of experience with GM cars in fact, having done a lot of work on the V8 Holden versions in Australia until I emigrated here 14 years ago - very different from the DOHC V6. Lots of work on older V8 models and American GM cars as well.

Sadly I don't have any serious tools here, and not only do I not have a driveway, but as I live on a Redroute (thanks Ken) I can't even park my car outside my house, which means having to do all my work on someone else's pavement (hence why I use a mechanic).

Anyway, lots of help already from people on this forum and the other one. Thanks.
