v6 aux belt? Not cambelt?

If v6 aux belt, just needs a belt and tensioner (£25 or £45 depending which bit has failed).  Easy enough job, if you can handle a spanner, you can do it Wink

aux belt, easy to do Smiley

is it the pulley wont turn, or the tensioner has snapped?  has the belt done any other damage when it snapped (sometimes they can catch on something an rip it apart)?

Notice you get quicker responses here than on the other forum you tried Wink

if its just the pulley has seized, remove it with 15mm spanner to check no damage to tensioner itself. If tensioner damaged, will need to replace (2 torx bolts around side, bit fiddly)

Sounds like bearing seized. New pulley with bearing is £15 ish IIRC.  Trouble is, it may have damaged tensioner spindle, in which case that needs changing (£45 iirc).  New belt I would imagine is £25 ish I would guess.

Are you ok with spanners?  Are you close to me, as I would willingly assist?

Can you get a 15mm spanner on it and undo the pulley to check?

People are scared of them...

You know the pulley we are talking of, try to remove, then check condition of the spindle (take a photo and post if you want second opinion)
