Hi Greg,

Welcome to the site  Thumbs Up!

We need a little more information to help you out there, is your car a facelift Omega or pre-facelift?

Easiest way to check this is you electric windows, are the buttons for the windows:

on the centre column (gear stick area) =  pre-facelift
on the door = facelift

2000 was just on the changer over.... so thats why we need to know as there were some major changes in the design  Thumbs Up!

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

1) Switch can be a prob, check switch with meter
2) Blocked gauze, check link Bo Bo sent
3) As this car is new to you, check you have actuator and cable under bonnet. Check stalk is correct on. Check correct brake and clutch switch fitted
4) If its leather, can be a PITA. Cloth apparently easier. Before doing, check wiring to seat, but be careful with side airbags and seltbelt pretensioner!!

1) I would need to check the diags. Yes, failed switch could stop it working
2) Thumbs Up!
3) Are there 2 throttle cables going to throttle body - one goes through bulkhead to pedal, other goes to actuator mounted on driver side inner wing...
4) PITA = Pain In The Ass

they do one for the pre-facelift, the engine is the same on the facelift models, most of the mechanicals are the same anyway ...

Hayes say the differences in the facelift did not warrent a new book.

However since you have a 2.5 that is much the case, your engine is the same as pre-facelift.
