Locking problem
14. Jan 2007 at 10:25

Well I finally got round to changing my drivers door yesterday & came across a few problems.
First one was when changing the lock mechanism. The electric connectors are different, the original door has a four pin socket & the replacement three?! I'm assuming this is for the central locking/alarm & deadlocks to work with the key, if this is case I can live without it. But if I (or someone on here) can source one with a three pin connector; will everything or some things work with the key?
Second problem is the barrel itself, it will only move a couple of mm each way, I'm pretty sure I got that bl00dy fiddly connecting arm the right way round (but might need to re-check) so what else might cause this?
Also the button is sticking & unless I pull it up all the way the doors lock when I close the drivers door, obviously not good if I forget & leave the keys in!
Any ideas welcome, cheers.

Is it possible to swap the mech and motors from old door to new?
