Ask for proof of when cambelt and idlers and tensioner were changed last...interval is 40k / 4 years (not 80k as in some books). If no proof then you should budget to get it done asap for peace of mind so use it in negociations.
Yep... and if you don't buy this one, keep this bit of info mind for the next Omega you look at. If you find an owner that does not know about this, then you can lift the filler cap and inspect it while looking concerned. Now if the seller is dishonnest he will thing OMG the HG is a goner, but will keep it under his hat and will try to sell you the car at any cost... so you could end-up getting a bargain
