power upgrade. (Read 941 times)

Jim Bob2 Junior Member Offline Posts: 107 Essex Gender:	power upgrade. 16. Jan 2007 at 19:16 Does anyone know how much more horse power can be expected from a chip power upgrade e.g superchip for the 2.5 petrol and how much they cost. I think the standard power is about 175.

Jan 2007 at 19:42 Stanadard is 168Bhp....a chip upgrade should yield 5-10 Bhp (use an Mtek Performance chip!) Best upgrade is to it a set of 3.0 cams......worth 20Bhp!

The power for pound ratio is good even with the spanner weilding. The power chips are'nt really worth the expense by the sounds of it.
Any idea how much more power can be squeezed out of the 3.0 litre engines without spending £000's.
