A Virgin to this Forum

Hi everyone,  Thumbs Up!
I have had six Cavaliers now and am fancying a change to an Omega!
I saw one yesterday (Monday) it was a T reg MV6, black leather, full service history, 11 months MOT, 89,000 miles and looks gorgeous to be honest but thought i would do a little homework before buying it.....
The guy showed me all the history and reciepts for things he has had done, he also told me and showed me on the trip computer that it is doing 30.1 mpg, is this right? My Mrs drives a Classic 3.9 Range Rover and only gets about 15mpg....(although she doesn't drive slow!)
What things have i got to check out on this car? he wants £1650 ono is that a good price? says his mrs left and needs the money, but you never now do ya!
Any help guys will be appreciated.
Thanks
Loo-knee

Welcome to the site Smiley

Post queries about your potential purchase in General chat for better coverage Thumbs Up!

I have an MV6 Auto, and average just under 25mpg.  It did average 33mpg on a 2 week period inc a trip to south of france.  Most MV6 owners claim low twenties, lower if all town driving....

Hi Loo-Knee and welcome.  Sounds reasonable, check for the last cambelt and tensioner change - max 40K miles.
