thanks.think i need more than 21mpg though.have to drive to lincolnshire periodically and that would be a lot of money for a 540 mile round trip.

Welcome to the forum Thumbs Up!

Nothing wrong with the 4 pots, quite a number of us have them and are quite satisfied.

Got about 32MPG on a return trip from Norwich, they're not too bad when up to speed....

depends what your looking for.

4 pots (2.2 / 2.0) are a little underpowered for their size, with just me in it (being only 10 stone) it goes fine!  Cheesy

Put some passengers in and it bogs down a bit  Sad

4pots are easier to work on, reliable engines, very duarable, can be negalected and still run fine.

V6's are smoother, and a 2.5/2.6 will be about the same on fuel as the 2.2.

I hope to trade up to a 2.6 manual at some point  Thumbs Up!

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Way, way overpriced, I would reckon £2500 tops.

And it would have to be mint, which it's not if it's got a scratch on the boot.
