Newbie [at last!]
23. May 2007 at 21:49

Just swinging by to say hi!

I've had an Omega for a couple of months now, just failed its MOT on some minor things and one biggie - a rear shock sprunk a leak on the way to the tester  Angry.

It's a late 1997 estate, 2.5 CD manual. And I'm in the market for a pair of new dampers.

I'll have a dig around the board for recommendations; ttfn.

Cheers for the welcome.

Shocking update; my local Halfrauds supplied me a pair of H/D Monroe gassy thingybob dampers for less than a ton and instore within 24 hours - not bad for a national chain.

Whilst on the MOT topic, one of the other failures [not a surprise this one] was the handbrake operation; so if I'm going to pull the rotors for a mechanism overhaul why not new rotors? what the hell fronts too, with pads all around. Due to my choice of parts I now have front rotors and rear pads sat in the shed waiting for the appropriate rear rotors and front pads to turn up  Roll Eyes such is...
