Think I posted a list of things that I do before.

First off, jack the car up and rmove the manifold to downpipe nuts ( a spark plug socket fits these a treat) and the 13mm bolts that secures the cats tot eh gearbox bracket. Pop the front pipe off the manifold studs and support it using some wire or similar.

Now drop the car back down to make access easier.

Drain the coolant out the rad.

Remove the coolant bottle (much easier access)

Then remove the inlet setup as you have done.

Now remove all the heater bypass valve assembly by disconnecting the fast-on connectors at the bulk head (press plastic tab, pull the collar backwards, twist a few times an then pull them off), disconnecting the pipe where it joins the coolant bridge and the other pipe that connects to the coolant transfer pipe (the bit you are trying to remove). It is easier to do with the coolant bridge removed.

Now you should be able to get at the two torx bolts holding the transfer pipe to the block and its much easier because with the bypas valve and pipes rmeoved you can get a ratchet in to. Dont forget the bolt that attaches the pipe to the lifting eye.

You then need to remove the lifting eye, the upper manifold heat shield, then the air injection pipe followed by the lower heatshield (there is a bolt at the rear near where the transfer pipe joins the block which is hard to spot).

Then remove the 7 manifold bolts/studs and pop the manifold off.

Clean it all up well and make sure the mating surface of the manifold is flat.

Make sure you remove the scuttle as well
