I'm guessing you're used to rock hard FWD cars?

RWD don't need to be so stiff for handling (most FWD are mega stiff to help with weight transfer and power delivery), so tend to be softer for better ride.

In addition, Omega uses dual rate springs to provide a compromise between excellent ride and impressive handling.

Wot he says.....

You need some softness to get a good feel for what the car is and wants to be doing, unlike FWD lightweights....

Its 1.7 tonnes of luxobarge, not a wee French pocket rocket or an elderly RWD Ford Escort.....   Thumbs Up!   Grin

My wife's Astra G originally had progresive rate springs on it. They were replaced a few weeks back for the MOT as the first couple of inch had broken off each of them. Sad Vauxhall OEM springs £160 vs £70 pattern springs guess which I bought!  Wink
