New owner missing tuning tips
18. Dec 2007 at 19:50

Hi all,
Just bought a 2.5 V6 Omega Caravan model 2000 and want to increase power by simple mod's...!
On sport bikes there is a approx 10 percent increase, in power and torque by just changing air filter, exhaust and tuning injection/carbs.
Do anybody have any recommendations, on simple mods on Omega V6, to increase power and respond with confirmed improvements?

Hi Ron and welcome.  Best mod is to swap the engine for a 3.0  Lips Sealed

In all seriousness the Omega panel filter works well and gains are rarely found from expensive aftermarket ones.  Best place for a full discussion is to post again in "General Chat"  Thumbs Up!

Hi Dave
A "Caravan" is an old expression for an Estate, at least I think it is... (was born i the 60's)
Don't you all think that the V6 is quite hard to wake up, to get it revvin and put some HP on the tarmac...?
I would like instant respons as with my bikes (sport and MPV 996cc V2)
Yes, I should probably have bought a 3.0 but this silver Estate is a beauty, with it's dancing shoes (sports 17")...

...

...

Just to make fun with my friends, I will remove all Opel badges and put on Cadillac instead...

Cheers
Ron

Hi and welcome to the fourm!

naa unfortunatly there isnt really anything for tuning the omega. only option would be to upgrade to a 3.0 or 3.2. The 3.0l engine are pritty cheap and can be picked up for under £200.
