Hello all!
04. Feb 2008 at 23:44

Hi, I have recently purchased A 1996 2.5 v6 omega and since viewing this website I am to worried to drive it as its mileage is 135000 miles and I have no proof of A cam belt change. Definately at the top of the to-do list! Congratulations on A great site. Thumbs Up!

P.s. How do I get A cambelt dvd?

welcome luke

dont worry about the 135,000 miles if it's been maintained properly, its likely to be able to do the same amount again before it dies!

I would also be very carefull and try not to drive it untill the cam belt kit has been changed, 40,000 / 4 years.  the problem is the tensioners are the part that fails but you cannot change the belt witout the rollers and viccy verser  It is about £80 from vx on trade club card for the kit , please use gen vx parts as if it fails you are covered under parts warrenty.
