Hi Ya Everybody,
                        Although I have been a member since Sept 06 and have posted a few questions etc. I realised that I never introduced myself on this section and was recently prompted by another member to do so --so here goes:

Have had Vauxhalls over the past 15 years, would not have anything else now. Had Cavaliers,an Astra, a couple of Vectras and have had my "Miggy" since Aug 2006 when I first came across the OOF.

My car is a 1999 "s" plate 3.0i Elite mini facelift in star silver. Paid £900 for her in Aug 06 . Car was cheap because it had done 160,000( but full VX dealer service history was supplied) and it was seeping oil from cam covers .

Seller told me he was quoted £1000 to have cam gaskets done, new air shocks and a service. He did not want to throw that sort of money at the car. ( Although from service history it had been maintained regardless of cost.

One other niggle was some paint bubbling along top of two doors. Done the oil leak - the cover bolts were not even hand tight for some reason - just tightening to correct torque has cured it. Been running like thiis now for 6000 miles!


I think these "Miggy's" have to be be the value high spec 2nd hand car available.

The other main interest I have is music. I have played lead guitar in a "Cliff & The Shadows" tribute band The Saddows for the past 8 years. Also you can see what an ugly bugger I am.
Incidently my "Miggy" No. plate relates to the band and is  R1 5ADO if you see me on the road anywhere.
