Temperature Gauge - Outside Temperature Sensor (Read 2618 times)

Jackruss Newbie Offline Posts: 2 Reading, Berkshire, UK Gender:	Temperature Gauge - Outside Temperature Sensor 16. Mar 2008 at 11:14 I have a 2.6 V6 Elite 2001 model, and my temp gauge on the computer seems to have moved, due to the fact it is regerstering an incorrect temperature (Hotter than it really is, approx 10degrees). Does anyone know where this thing is, or any other ideas of what this issue may be. Many thanks

Mar 2008 at 12:43 the outside temp sensor is in the middle of the front bumper, right at the bottom under the number plate, you can see it in the bumper grille mine went dodgy a while back when there were floods cos i'd drove thru some shallow water

Mar 2008 at 14:04 Hi Jackruss and welcome to OOF. Just had a similar problem with mine - turned out to be broken wire. They can be a bit prone to going on the blink during heavy rain as water gets in the connectors and corrode them causing intermittent contact.
