Master solenoid possibly failed or not getting any power? Can you measure any voltages at the door solenoid when the alarm is armed / disarmed?

Agree, try changing the motor first - but would suggest against wasting money on a meter if you do not know how to use it, better off buying some beer tokens for your friendly sparky.

Haynes do repair manuals. No brilliant, but useful. Worth spending a tenner on one from ebay - at Halfrauds prices (£20) bit steep. If you are on about glovebox literature, again Ebay, or check OOF shop in a few days if I can find any around...
