Sounds like a much better job than my mechanic thingk i'll do them my self soon as the car still smells etc still oil in some of the spark plug holes  Angry
But well done Lizzie  Wink

Well replacing the cam cover gaskets, or rather specifically the one on the passenger side engine bank, is a swine!  Everything you can imagine gets in the way; pipes, wires, clips, and the top of the cam fixings themselves which try their darndest to remove the gasket you have just applied!! Angry Angry Angry

Eventually I worked out a system of holding all out of the way just enough to get the cover on straight, true, with no wires trapped and the gasket still in place!! Cool Cool Cool

In your case though LSG if there is still oil in ther plug wells I'm afraid to say the mechanics have failed to seat the cam cover gasket correctly! Sad Sad

Its realy easy when you can multi task and problem solve as well as us men
