Not vx oil but to OE spec. I use it in my car and never have any probs. I have used it in many other cars I have serviced and no comebacks so very good oil.

Petrol engine oil recommendations up to model year 1997 (except Lotus Carlton, Frontera and Monterey): SGCD/SHCD/A2/G4. 'Improved lubricity oils': A3/G5
Engine oil viscosity recommendations prior to 2001: -20°C to above 40°C, 10W-40/10W-50/10W-60; -15°C to above 40°C, 15W-40/15W-50; -10°C to above 40°C, 20W-40/20W-50. Monograde: -10°C to 15°C, 20W-20; 0°C to above 40°C, 30. 'Improved Lubricity'/ synthetic or semi-synthetic oils': below -30°C to above 40°C, 0W-30/0W-40/5W-30/5W-40/5W-50; -20°C to above 40°C, 10W-30/10W-40
