Some people may have missed this, so to reduce the size of the text as you type....

Under the actual box you type in, over on right is a 'Text Size: 11pt' and  - + buttons. This adjust the size of the text in that box. Note, this is unrelated to text size of your post when posted

I noticed that when posting today but it comes up fine in the actual posted post.

Why does Linux Suck - I'd heard it was a really good alternative to M/s as an Operating system?

Interestedly

TB will give you alot more reasons to hate Linux but IMHO its based on some preety old hat now Vista is a much better product and MS have constantly evolved the Windows family from Windows 3.11 to Windows 7 think of linux being similar to W95 RC2 flakey usb support for a start!

Linux suffers from a lot of problems, some historic due to the way it tries to be a proper Unix, some entirely of its own making.

Can't really think of any advantage to running Linux over and above other Operating Systems in its class. Fortunately, very few desktop apps need Linux, and most can stick Windows desktop.  In the server area, Linux definately has built a niche as a supported OS that can run on cheap (x86) hardware and can run 'unix style' technologies, particularly for internet servers.  Historically, Windows servers did not scale too well.

There are an awful lot of myths and untruths about Linux, both from a stability view, and scalability view, a security view, and a cost view.

So, on the desktop, unless you have a particular need, stick to Windows.  On a server, carefully consider your requirements, and check out all options - if you need Unix, you might be better off using a proper Unix.

2 reasons for me not to use any variant of *nix..

1. None of the freely available apps come even close to what are available for the Windows platform.

2. There isn't one piece of software out there (on any platform other than Windows) that will let you make perfect 1:1 backup copies of your Xbox360/Wii games.
