Fuel Prices - Europe
23. May 2009 at 17:32

Anyone been to europe recently? Whats the price of petrol in France/Holland??

Last time i was there i seam to remember it was 1.21EUR a litre.

Wondering if its worth tanking up in Dover, to avoid fueling in Europe

Petrol was 1.179 Euros a litre at Carrefour in Caen last Saturday.....around £1.08 at last weeks exchange rate.

When we got to Dover that day it was at 95.9p a litre at the first station we saw, the BP at the roundabout at the port exit.
Thumbs Up!

Yes mate we fuelled up at Tesco Ashford (M20 J9) at normal supermarket prices.

Thats about 20 mins from Dover if you're going down the M20 not the M2.

Have a great time mate, we did !!

Thumbs Up!

If you are careful and fill up at the right times and at the right places, you may save as much as £5, or even £10. Very handy since you tell us you only earn 40K Thumbs Up!

handy tip Mr Tunnie when(if) drawing euros out of a European bank cash machine. Let your bank determine the rate when you are given the option. Otherwise you get a poor exchange rate and often a charge of something like 2.5% for the privilege.

Filled up today at 99.6 cents a litre for unleaded. Robbery  - was only 96 last tankful. Can't believe the price in Holland. That is outrageous.
