My mates Escort has died
25. May 2009 at 16:16

John wanted to borrow my welder over the weekend to weld up his Escort that dramatically failed its MOT on a hole. I had no idea how large the hole was until i stuck my head under the car. It's a wreck Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked it was about the size of a persons hand. He's been welding away for a few hours & then pops down, "it's gotta go" he says, "why" i ask. The hole was getting bigger as he was poking around, now it's massive. I've never seen a car so rotten. We're not talking Pairs, it's well passed that. So another Escort is off to the scrap yard this week. He just doesn't learn though, he keeps buying these old Fords. The thing is though, it looks very tidy from the top half, but the underneath is  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked He'll be drowning his sorrows now with beers Grin Grin

He's thought about bodging & selling it on, but his conscience wouldn't stand to it. I think his Escorts an S reg (there abouts).

Found On Rubbish Dump, Found On Road Dead. That description of your mate Anglia is typical of ford through the sixties & seventies Grin It would seem to be the same with some cars through the nineties too Shocked Shocked
