May 2009 at 11:30 Right - what is good oil to use in an Omega if you can't get Vauxhall oil? I might try a local Esso to see if they have any Superlub as that used to be good oil. May 2009 at 12:01 if you use another make, and do short journeys, some of the others are more prone to mayo, and given the work you are doing could give cause for concern if you are not expecting it

May 2009 at 12:01 you havent been given a saab parts direct card have you? I got one in the post, can use it to get generic gm parts to the door, oil, coolant etc.

Reason I don't use a fully synth is that it doesn't stay in my engine long enough to warrant it. Mine gets replaced every 3k, regardless. Those intimately familiar with the internals of my engine, our very own Mr DTM, did comment on how clean the internals were

I agree Kevin, their oil kept my Toyota going very well for over 90,000 miles and at high speeds, with it being passed on at 250,000 and still going strong. Cool

In my opinion, although I use GM Semi 10/40 in the miggy, the Halfords oil is a great alternative. Wink
