Hi, welcome to the forum.

£500 is extremely expensive. In the UK, geniuine branded kit is around £100. Abroad, it shouldn't be even close to £500.

Where are you based and where did you get the cost of £500 from?

To do: Replace brake discs and pads; adjust already replaced shoes; check for leaks in oil cooler, cambelt area, crank seals, sump, dipstick; replace osf door; replace a tyre; clean, MOT.

You can buy the tensioner as individual item.
For my car it was around 20 pounds (or maybe a little less)

I am in Swaziland but we get our parts from South Africa...typical costs - water pump R4000 (340 pounds) - Radiator - R6500 (540 pounds) - front brake pads - R1800 (150 Pounds). all very expensive and the only place we can get from are the GM agents   Sad

I can see a market here.... Someone in the UK buys parts and starts shipping to Swaziland  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

In all seriousness, try eBay as a lot of sellers will ship abroad at cost, and it'll still work out considerably cheaper Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!
