HBV changed today
01. Jun 2009 at 23:05

As title replaced the HBV today thanks to PeteG for his "How to"very helpful Thumbs Up! It was a bit of a fiddle when you've got hands like bunches of bananas and fingers like cumberland sausages but I got there in the end less a bit of knuckle skin! Shocked I bought the replacement valve from the main stealers and was suprised to find that there was no G.M markings on either the box or the part  anyone Know the score? Undecided

I would keep a sharp eye on the replacement.  There was a thing on here some months ago about non gen HBV's from dealers. Ensure you keep your receipt......  Wink

It is very easy to get to whent he scuttle cover and wiper motor is removed. I had my plenum and inlet manifold off too so that might have made it slightly easier. It took me a couple of minutes to change, but several to remove all the bits to get to it easily!

To do: Replace brake discs and pads; adjust already replaced shoes; check for leaks in oil cooler, cambelt area, crank seals, sump, dipstick; replace osf door; replace a tyre; clean, MOT.
