And a recommendation : try and do different projects and jobs as much as possible while you dont have criticial  financial responsibilities..Still too early for you to glue on a fix job.. Thumbs Up!

Very true, probably time to move on in some respects, and 7K isn't to be sniffed at. However, you'd then become "last in" in rather uncertain times. Undecided

Valid point Kevin and worth thinking about tunnie Thumbs Up!

True, i have been at my current place for a while, that said, 2 of the java developers that were cut, are 2 of the longest serving employee's

So it does not really mean anything these days, the trouble is as soon as this platform is built, all control and upgrades for it, will be handled by the states, which means i will be out of a job.

I don't envy you tunnie, with conditions as they are it's hard to call on the job security front.

I suppose it does pay to 'keep the hand in' whenever attractive opportunities pop up but as always, it's a gamble.

I think it's down to personal circumstances, age, location, family considerations and so on. You're not the first to face the age old conundrum - job security against missed opportunity and subsequent regret.

If personal circumstances are favourable and you can roll with the punches, it might be something to go for, should you not, there's always the possibility, when down the line a bit you'll be thinking, 'wish I'd gone for it'.

Good luck whatever you do Thumbs Up!

Cheers

Yeh that is the trouble, but that said i don't have any commitments, i still live at home. Saving up for a place of my own.... so on that basis with more money, its a good move. Think my commute costs would be higher though as i would have to drive  Undecided

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

i would be doing 3k miles a month, so it could prove more expensive in the long run as i would prob need new car after a year or so.  Undecided
