But out of the two, give me a Cortina (of any mark) any day Cool Cool Wink Wink

Same here, and if I had to choose one then I doubt I could call it.......and that's 25+ years on.

If you wanna see a fast 'Tina, check out Ron Haslett's strip & street legal MK III Estate.
He was in the low 9's a few years ago, and at the rate he was managing to find horses then, I would fully expect it to be in the low to mid 8's by now.

Hi Paul (LD) yes mate she'll be in the workshop for a few weeks, new MOT & taxed but plenty of bodywork to play with. Got a chance of 4 NEW doors, runs fine, taking her to work tomorrow & the vacuum wipers are a riot!!! Still she'll be out looking pretty in the spring ready for the shows/runs & i'll post pics as we go. Nice to own a car that's older than i am!
Lizzie, ironically i was looking for a pre facelift slopey dash Mk3 'Tina to replace the Mk5 when i stumbled on this & could'nt resist her, maybe next time!
K Watt.Being something of a luddite i'm not really into the modded classic scene but at least money, time & love has gone into said projects so fair go. If it keeps a classic from the scrappy or the banger track...(Guilty of both in the past) then that's the lesser of two evils, at least they're still loved & still running in whatever form. Thumbs Up!
