LPG Tank Prices
16. Nov 2009 at 15:09

Just a quick one, whats the rough cost of the 3 main LPG tanks on their own? Donut/80L/100L

Still considering donut, but keep thinking how many times do i actually use the full capacticy of the boot. I do also have access to an Omega Estate  Roll Eyes

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Cheapest option is the cylinder. IIRCC there's not a lot of difference (£10 rings a bell) between the 80 ans 100L tanks. I think the Vertical Torroidal works out about £150 or so more Undecided Undecided

Should add... With the mileage you're intending to do I'd go for the 100L cylinder every time to reduce the number of visits to the pump Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Was meant to be 80 but couldn't source one so I got a 90 instead. IIRCC it was about £200

If you've got a Bose shelf it'll be easiest to remove it before fitting, then refit it at the end Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Other than that I'd say probably... The 90 was a bit of a pain as the mounts fell in slightly awkward places but other than that was OK Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Remember you can only fill to 80% ... so a 100 litre tank gets 80 litres in .. an 80 ltr tank gets 64 litres in .. thats only 16 litres difference...

16 litres = 3.5 galls .. at around 20 mpg thats only 70 miles difference .. not a huge amount ...

It's your choice obviously .. but is the extra work worth it ??
