i'm sick of arguing with people who require no proof of an invisible super being yet accept it calmly and rationally as if theres nothing wrong with them, when they're quite clearly as mad as  a box of frogs.
i'm sick of the whole climate change debate, its not a debate, it does exist, man is to blame and man will do nothing to change this - i don't care if you believe this to be the case or not anymore, same as i'll no longer respect anyones religious views - if you believe in invisible superbeings please don't tell me, tell your psychiatrist - they love stuff like that.

climate change is indeed real however  it not burning fossil fuels that is the real problem.

It is an issue of over population pure and simple.

The root cause of climate change and virtually all aspects of the global ecological crisis is too many people consuming beyond the carrying capacity of ecosystems to absorb and regenerate from their impact.
The population bomb has exploded and some 6.5 billion people now live on a planet that can probably only support well one billion or less (the population about 125 years ago). How this grotesque overshooting of the biosphere's ecological systems is unwound will have profound impacts upon the quality, and even possibility, of continued human existence. Will just and equitable measures be taken to reduce human numbers through population controls, as China has done somewhat successfully, or will ecological collapse do it much less mercifully?

One more thing to think of  the idea of moving away from fossil fuels to "bio" fuels means in future we will be fighting againts food supply as there is no way to supply both in the numbers required.  Thumbs Up!

Fair enough bj Cool Thumbs Up! but to deny debate on the matter flies in the face of balance and informed enquiry.

I'm open minded enough to embrace many opinions and value what you have to say as there's no absolute in these matters -  but to take this action, especially from your apparently entrenched position, fails to make sense Sad

This inhumanity has been practised on a number of occasions D without success, and in the case of China, for a parent to abandon a female infant simply to comply with government policy can never be just.

....and like me Opti, he would be quite right not to Thumbs Up!

Climate change is indeed evident, however as for mankind being the prime facilitator, the fevered and condescending opinion of the 'pro' lobby realised more on panic inducing, doctrinal and dogmatic statements is far from convincing - more so when the clarion call is being made by Al Gore.

The blatant manipulation of children to convey the message should surely start the alarm bells ringing?

Thank you for continued and balanced input Opti. Cool Thumbs Up!

In my view however it's a very big step to assert that we, of recent times, are solely responsible for this change.  Our use of natural resources without care poses a greater risk to the ecological system in my view than this present concern over change caused by CO2.

Considering the fundamental changes to the present social structure demanded by the 'pro' lobby this issue must be debated and debated fully.
