As I have said before - would the military and Police support the government or the people?

If the public kicked off properly, there aren't enough old bill & military (who have shit guns, no boots, and no bullets) to stop it.

Ask the military members on here - I think they would possibly lead!

If we are talking full balls on scenario, they would be daft at the very least if they decided to side with their paymasters.

While they would have the advantage of certain skills (ie, battle planning), you have to bear in mind that....

1. More than a fair number of Joe Public (and most definately "subversive" party leaders) are also capable of strategic planning.
Also add in to the equation that the protecting force will be bound by god knows how many EU & PC regulations regarding how they do the job, while the "subversive" won't give a toss......the outcome is obvious IMO.

2. The physical headcount (government forces vs public).

It was what helped bring down Eastern Europe.Remember the massive numbers marching in East Germany and Romania etc.I never thought I would see that happening and what they did get was the military on their side, which I think would be the case here.

However getting the public of the settees and away from the tube may be the biggest hurdle. Not that I'm trying to suggest civil disobedience is in anyway big or clever(just in case big brother is watching!--no honest I believe 2+2=5 and Slavery is Freedom)

TBH, if my £6/year was actually going to get me a broadband which was faster than walking to the shops Roll Eyes Roll Eyes then I'd be fine with it but I know we won't get it until the very end Angry Angry Angry

To be honest you only have to run a speed check to realise that your broadband speed is a joke. I've signed up to fibre city and I shall let you know how they work as they say that the speed will be 100 meg upload and download with all services piped in.

1984 is the nulab instruction manual.

As to IMP or whatever it is called - get an offshore email account.

Anyone notice that Darth Meddlesom has also granted himself more powers?

I would not be surprised if they tried to cancel the next election - this would mean civil war I think.

It's long overdue (and very easily do-able), but no-one has the 'dangle berries' to stand up anymore.

That I don't know - screw enough people and it will happen.

I am actually starting to get political over this - reading up on the parties ect, all parties have some good policies.

As I have said before - would the military and Police support the government or the people?

i think they know who they should side with... but what they should do and will do are to completely different things... the police are ment to "prtect" the country on the inside and the armed forces on the outside... but at the end of the day, who controls these forces?  Angry

Well they don't swear allegiance to the government for a start.

At least ER2 can dissolve parliament if they get silly
