I rang directline to declare my 19" snowflakes as a modification and got stung with paying an extra £300 a year. Doubled my insurance cost's, but the car looks sweet.... Worth every penny!!!!!  Thumbs Up!

You must be mad. £300 a year for alloys. In three years you'll have paid enough to buy a half decent omega.

Agreed. If they were my alloys they'd be on ebay by now. Shocked

I used to pay £285 on a 2002 3.2 elite with declared stainless exhaust, now pay £571 with exhaust and 19" wheels.. A big price to pay, but if I crash (touch wood) I'm totally covered with a pay out, didn't fancy taking the risk not declaring the moods!!!! It's also a like for like wheel replacement, and there nearly £3,000 from vauxhall new.  Cry Cry

It is not too often that we can say it is good to be old!

Between the ages of 50 and 55 is the cheapest insurance, we are the  safe drivers!

Hercules,

I am 34, have 2 years ncb (not protected), 3 points, 1 crash in a company car last year (not my fault) and have my 2.5TD Elite insured for business use for 27,000 miles per year.

With 'More Than' I pay £545 yearly. I live in Boston which is pretty high on the stolen car hit list areas so cannot work out why your having your pants pulled down to such an extent Huh Huh

One thing I will say, and I do bang on about this I know, but make sure you go through www.quidco.co.uk, you may get yourself a few quid back, well worth it. Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!
