bloody insurance

has gone up £110 and nowt i can do about it,ive seven years protected no claims and happened to have a scrape in sept so i cant even get any quotes now damn damn damn Angry

All insurance companies give you a nice price the first year when you are new business, just pick the phone up and do "new" business with another company if you want the price to stay where it should be.

ive been with em 5 years and i only have the 7 years no claims with them cos i protect it if i went anywhere else id have 0 no claims bonus and they no it so i cant threaten em with leaving  Angry

Eh???

Your NCB is transferable, you take it anywhere you like because YOU have EARNED it.

i thought the fact i have i have seven years still is because i pay to protect it with tesco and if i went anywhere else because ive had a claim they will take it as 0 no claims

nope...  your extra premium protected the no claims.  you take it elsewhere alongwith proof of that payment and you get a reduced rate at the new insurer....

I stuck with the same insurance company for years-did me no good at all ,in the end they were taking the p*** , i now change insurance companies nearly every year without a problem-the internet is a wonderful thing ! Smiley

i went on a compare site and did a quick search and the cheapest was £1100 thats more than double my renewal so i might try the direct approach

I take it your under 25 with that renewal quote.....Have you tried MoreThan.
I have had good dealings with them over the past year for all of my insurance.

From your profile you state that your 35 and with 7 years no claims can't see how you are being quoted 1100 unless there's a few points and bans lurking on your licence Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Wink

I rang directline to declare my 19" snowflakes as a modification and got stung with paying an extra £300 a year. Doubled my insurance cost's, but the car looks sweet.... Worth every penny!!!!!  Thumbs Up!

You must be mad. £300 a year for alloys. In three years you'll have paid enough to buy a half decent omega.
