Just been down to the take-away to get dinner and a prat has reversed into me !!! He's nudged me right on the edge of the rear door with the back of his car .. and is trying to accuse me of hittting him... bit difficult as I was stationary !!!

Too dark to full assess the damage, door opens and closes ok, bit of a dent in the wing quarter panel just by the door handle. Will have to wait until the morning.. Sad

As this was in a car park, not on the road, I wonder what the insurers will say .. Sad

Cheesed off now .. Sad

Sorry to hear that matey. Sad
I've just today noticed some careless 2hat has managed to put a 6"x 4" scrape on my nearside front bumper. I'm hacked off and I reckon I can touch it up gradually, something like yours would have me hunting the streets for the fokkers.

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Try one of the dentmaster type fellas first.  You would be amazed at what they can achieve with little (further) damage to the paintwork.  Some also do touch ins.....

Just been to the Insurance Approved repair centre for them to assess the work.........

Was a tad gobsmacked to be told the car will have to go to a specialist to have the LPG tank removed before the work can be done, then back for the tank to be re-fitted afterwards !!

The quoted reason is that the car cannot go into the "low-bake oven" with the tank fitted ... even if it was empty .. as it is an explosive risk !!!

Now is this some sort of money-making/job-creation scam ... or is it genuine ???

Has anyone ever heard of owt like this before ???

(posted the same question on an LPG forum as well... )

I'm afraid to say that seems very plausible as after all the LPG tank is a pressurised vessel, and you would never put one of those in a baking oven! Wink Wink
