Just replaced my 2.2 coolant header tank as was tiny split on base of cap neck.  Bought direct from VX no discount etc, was £28+vat including sensor.  Benefits apart from it not leaking are that it looks nice and you can see the level easily too!

I was told £28 as well.

The advantage of a new one is they are nice and clean and translucent - wheras an old one thats been cleaned will be discoloured somewhat.

If you can get  new one for £15 then go for it - just make sure it has the level switch built in as not all have .....

Small local firm - and our customers are in similar positions - all waiting until the new year.

I am not saying much publically as I don't want anything to get out.

Fair enough!  Wink
I've found that small firms, although they might not have the clout finacially, are nicer to work for. BIG firms, and you can't get a much bigger name than Heinz, are shi1te to work in (not for). Too many politics, he won't talk to him and he doesn't talk to her ec etc there are so many peole with  huge egos & chips on their shoulders .... you end up just going to work to do just enough & collect your wage on the way out.  Undecided Undecided Undecided
The money's isn't bad though, you can join Tax Man at the Christmas dance if you want to do the over time ........ I don't  Thumbs Up!  Thumbs Up!  Thumbs Up!

Tell me about it.

After taking redundancy in June from a v.large company and not working (apart from rebuiding my Mig) for 4 months, I now work for a small company and I am employee # 19.

Its much much nicer I can assure you, even though I'm not earning anywhere near as much ££
