I had a 2006/56 Corolla Verso with the 1.8VVT-i engine, gearbox was very unreliable, had to be rebuilt 4 or 5 times!!!!

Plus, and I had forgotten about this, when it went for its 90,000 mile service they said they had found a 'small' oil leak (even though it never used any or dripped any), and Toyota did a short engine change under warranty, even though that had run out 30,000 mile previously. Think they may be doing a recall on the quite!!!!

Great car other than that, not as bomb proof as I was expecting though!!!
