Rock bottom!!!

You know you've hit rock bottom when you need to borrow money of the mother-in-law--see p'eed of post for reasons.

Further to that I now need to put the car in storage, well me dads drive and declare SORN to DVLA and cancel insurance.

Are there any precautions I should take regarding storing, mechanical, electrical etc.

Also further to Nickbats post about the web--they are doing a pretty good job of limiting my access to the net by f***ing up the economy and screwing me out of work so causing me to have no b**tard cash to pay the fascist corparate money grabbers(energy, telecom suppliers) their freeking pound of flesh!!!.

Pardon my language but I'm somewhat miffed. Angry Angry Angry Angry

If it is possible park your vehicle with the handbrake off, drain most of the fuel, disconnect the battery and once a week reconnect and restart the engine. Also move the vehicle up and down the drive to make sure nothing is binding and the tyres don't mis-shape due to being stored in the same place.Hope that helps. Thumbs Up!

I would not advise starting the engine of a laid-up car. It only blows a load of water vapour and acidic by-products into the exhaust system and crankcase and, with no decent heat getting into it to boil these off they will do damage.

Add a tea spoon or two of oil into each bore and turn it over a few times, then replace the spark plugs and leave the engine. It will be fine.

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

I know exactly how you feel mate i`ve gone cap in hand to the bank, only to be told i cant have a loan or an overdraft cause of the iva i`m on...I only want £250 to tide me over and pay the council tax and water rates on my parents house while i wait for it to sell....I`ve not known a year like it just when you feel like your getting on ya feet something pulls the rug and your on your arse again....Plus the companies gone quiet on the contract renewal for junction retail parks security they where supposed to have annouced it friday and now no one will talk, which i believe is bad news and that they have lost the contract and are holding off releasing the news before x-mas... Undecided but on the other hand we sould roll over under tupe to the new company for 1 year...I hope.... Lips Sealed
