Mums VW Polo central locking problem.

Not an omega I know but since many of you are very knowledgeable I thought it might be worth asking. My mum recently bought a VW polo which came with a remote fob for the alarm/immobiliser. However whilst it seems to turn on/off the alarm it does not do the central locking.

I thought it might be micros switches or central locking pump? The central locking does work if you turn the key in the lock though?

Any thoughts?

sounds like yours is either newer or posher model than Mrs G's 2001 polo. Her key only has a button for a torch. Central locking by key in the lock only, no alarm/imob. either.....

Silly question.
Is your alarm/imob factory fit? Or aftermarket?

Thats what I am not sure about Chris. The key is just a key and the fob is separate. Looks like it might be Scorpion which I always assumed would be aftermarket?
