Any more tyres? 225/55 R16
15. Dec 2009 at 20:16

I think this is right - bit dark to see at the moment.

I am looking for 2 possibly 4 tyres decent brand and cheap to get my car through its MOT.

Money is VERY tight at the moment (due to recession) so price is important.

I would be able to pay by paypal - depends how much I get for some powerline adaptors on Ebay.

Basically is there a car being scrapped with decent rubber.

Thanks

Martin

IF, and it is a big if - I get the Omega running on Saturday, I could have a look in Harry Bucklands for you - and drop them off to you on my way up to the M50.......

Have 8 wheels/tyres stacked up in garage. Just checked, all mine are 235/45/17, and fitted to buckled wheels.

could ways fit the spare for the MOT, just maybe need one then?

Not that anyone this way would have done that before  Roll Eyes

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Wishbone bushes took out both fronts, rears are near limit unfortunately.

As to new tyres - mortgage comes first

Got a single avon ZZ3 in 235 45 17 with 3,4,3 mm across it. Could do that for £25 delivered? have also got a set of minifacelift Elite rims with two nearly new 225 55 16 Wanlis on them for £100.(other two tyres are scrap) Reckon you could probably get £60 to £70 for the rims if you resold them. Only probs would be shipping which would be £30 but collection welcome.

What about trying the part worn dealers in your area, fitted, balanced and with a warranty incase of defect.  Allways worth haggling on price.  I have a mate who deals in them, quite a margin of profit to haggle over especially if buying 4.
