Markey Mark

Well, it's over 6 weeks now since Mark received my money transfer, and I've still received nothing. Nor will he reply to any PM's, although his profile swows he has been online since the money was sent. Admin have also ignored my requests to look into this. Who's running this shebang?  Angry

While the admins may help you out of kindness, they have no obligation to do so.

The transaction is between you and Mark - suggest you follow up via telephone, email, or whatever measures you feel are necessary

Right so you can't get hold of him, how are the admins supposed too? They spend their own money and time making this site what it is, saying things like that is un-helpful and bloody rude especially as I doubt you could do a better job!!

Yes it's understandable that you're annoyed but whats the need to come on here and start saying things like that?

Manxie - I don't recall any discussion of this amongst the admin team. We do sometimes have pretty full PM boxes so it is possible that PMs get missed every so often. You are certainly not being "ignored".

However, the admin team are here to run the forum. That is the extent of the "shebang". If members who have been put into contact by the forum decide to trade then, as indicated in the guidelines, they should satisfy themselves that they are happy to trade with each other.

The admin team have implemented a post count threshold that must be reached before posting in the trading sections and also publish a list of conflicts in the trading sections to minimise rogue traders and assist members in deciding whether they are happy to trade with each other. However, once two parties have entered into a transaction we can only really suggest that they contact each other to discuss a resolution. If you phone in response to a classified ad in a newspaper what help would you get from BT or the newspaper (who provide the communication medium - just like OOF) if it went wrong?

Please PM a member of the admin team if you wish to raise a dispute.

Kevin

Which admin did you PM?  Sometimes PM's get mass deleted if the inbox gets overfull but I know that none of the other admins have raised it in the private discussion area and thus, would suggest that they have received no notification from you either....

If you have a dispute (and it appears that you have) send me a PM directly and I will open a dispute and take the matter further.

I too have seen no PM, but then I was offline for a couple of weeks, and the forum automatically deletes older PMs if inbox reaches 50.  Mine deleted approx 300 when I came back online.

May I take this opportunity to point *EVERYONE* towards this post...
